At present, there are many problems in the wide belt coiler of the cold rolling mill, such as the vibration of the car body during coiling, the large impact when the material head is bent into a coil, or even unable to coile, the strip slips on the sleeve, the belt deviation during coiling, and the inconvenient replacement of the belt. Based on the 2300mm 6-high flexible aluminum strips cold rolling project of our company, this paper summarizes the problems existing in the wide belt coiler, analyzes the reasons affecting the coiling quality and efficiency of the wide belt coiler, puts forward improvement measures, and fundamentally solves the problems existing in the wide belt coiler of domestic flexible aluminum strips cold rolling mill.

Technical difficulties 1

By analyzing the existing problems of wide belt winder and summarizing its causes, it is concluded that there are the following technical difficulties in the design of wide belt winder: (1) how to ensure the rigidity of vehicle body and the stability of operation process; (2) When the wide belt winder is used for winding, the material head must be bent into a roll smoothly; (3) Slipping is not allowed in the process of coiling AIDS; (4) The belt shall not deviate during operation; (5) In order to facilitate the maintenance of wide belt winder, the belt shall be able to be replaced quickly.

2 technical measures

In order to solve the technical difficulties existing in the wide belt winder, several technical measures have been taken, as shown in Figure 1.

In order to improve the rigidity of the car body, a connecting plate structure is designed on the belt taking out side, so that the two side plates separated due to the belt replacement seam are reconnected into one. The vibration of the car body during coiling is due to the deflection of the car body during operation, resulting in the poor parallelism between the roller and the sleeve during coiling. In order to ensure the stability of the car body, the self returning slope structure is designed for the wheel retaining edge of the car body, and the wheel guide device is specially designed. The gap between the guide wheel of the wheel guide device and the car body guide rail is controlled within 1mm, so as to effectively prevent the deflection of the car body during operation.

In order to make the material head bend smoothly into a coil at the beginning of the auxiliary coil, first, the strip pressing point of the wrap angle roller is moved to the highest point in the design; Second, the circular arc guide plate is designed on the angle wrapping roll to reduce the tangent angle between the material head and the strip extending into the reel; Third, the side winding aid device is designed to make the part of the strip that is not wound by the belt bend under the action of the arc plate of the side winding aid device, so as to reduce the resistance of the material head to bend into a roll (Fig. 2).

In order to solve the problem of strip slip, the position relationship between the export universal roll, the wrap angle roll rotating shaft and the wrap angle roll pressing roll and the wrap angle track of the wrap angle roll are adjusted in the design, which increases the pressing force of the belt on the wrap angle roll close to the reel, and then increases the maximum friction between the strip and the reel, effectively preventing the occurrence of strip slip. In order to prevent belt deviation, two measures are taken: one is to increase the taper at both ends of the universal roll in the design, so that the belt can return to the center automatically during coiling; Second, the roller parallelism of the tensioning roller device is adjustable, so it can effectively compensate the flatness error between the general roller and the reel. In order to realize the rapid replacement of the belt, a positioning block device with screw support is designed (Fig. 3). When replacing the belt, after taking out the positioning block, the front side plate of the car body affects the removal and reassembly of the belt under the action of gravity. At this time, the newly added screw plays the role of supporting the weight of the front side plate, which greatly improves the replacement efficiency of the belt.

3 function description of technical measures in coiling process

The rigidity of one side of the car body is poor due to the need to reserve belt installation space. In order to improve its rigidity, a connecting plate structure is designed to avoid the unilateral deformation of the winder when the belt is tensioned. When the car body is moving forward, deflection is inevitable. Therefore, the wheel with slope will play the function of self centering. At the same time, the car body guide device plays the role of mechanical limit to ensure that the parallelism between the roller on the car body and the reel is within the allowable range. The coiler belt is wound around the drum under the swing of the angle wrap roll. After the tensioning device extends to generate sufficient tension on the belt, the reel starts to rotate and the strip is brought in and clamped in the belt. After coming out of the corner wrap roll, the material head continues to move along the tangent direction of the pressing point and contacts the tensioned strip. If the included angle between the material head and the tensioned strip is too large, it will be difficult for the material head to be pressed between the strip and the drum. In order to reduce the included angle, move the pressure point of the wrap angle roller to the highest point that can be reached in the design, and guide the material head to bend through the physical action of the circular arc guide plate. Because the material width of the coiling aid is sometimes larger than the belt width, a side coiling aid device is designed to guide and bend the material head outside the belt width to facilitate the coiling process. In order to solve the deviation phenomenon of belt winding aid, the taper at both ends of the universal roller is used to play the role of belt return; If the belt is loose and tight at the same time, it can also be adjusted by the tensioning roller device. During belt replacement, after the positioning block is taken out, the replacement belt side of the vehicle body will sag due to the action of gravity. At this time, the screw with increased design can be used to support it, so as to open the space for belt replacement to facilitate replacement.

4 Conclusion

Based on the 2300mm 6-roll flexible aluminum strips cold rolling project of our company, this paper makes a technical breakthrough on the wide belt coiler, and puts forward specific technical measures to solve the problems existing in the wide belt coiler of domestic cold rolling mill. The return visit of the project proves that the technical measures are safe and effective, which greatly improves the coiling quality and efficiency of the wide belt coiler, shortens the maintenance time, and has been fully affirmed by the users.
